Development Squad

Telluride Development Squad is an 8-session youth ski and snowboard program offered through the Telluride Ski and Snowboard School. The Squad’s goal is to foster a fun and safe learning environment, while developing skiers and snowboarders who have a true love for the sport, the mountains, and Telluride. Each session, The Squad will promote team-building and model safe mountain tactics in a non-competitive environment.

Each day your son and/or daughter will be skiing or riding with their coach from 10am to 3pm, fueling a life-long passion for their sport!  For our youngest member of the Squad, appropriate breaks and snacks times will be built in to the day to accommodate the needs of the kids.

Coaches: Coaches are experienced Telluride Ski & Snowboard School instructors.

Groups are organized by ability level, then by age:

Ages 3-6:

Ski only
All ability levels

Ages 7-14:

Ski (Level 3+)
Able to ski Chair 10 making controlled wedge turns

Snowboard (Level 4+)
Able to link turns on Chair 10 with minimal stopping
