Kids Camp

Kids Camp is a full day of outdoor exploration for kids ages 5-12 offered Monday – Friday from 9:30AM – 3:30PM. Each day we offer something new and exciting!  Activities include: easy to moderate hikes, playing in and around the river, fun games, team-building activities, mushroom hunting, picnic lunches, fun cooking & science experiments, and arts & crafts.

What does my child need to bring for a safe and fun time outdoors?

• Lunch & snacks                              
• Water
• Hiking boots or hiking sneakers     
• Rain gear
• Clothes ok to cover in mud!            
• Layered clothing
• Sunglasses or hat                            
• Extra socks
• Swim suit (late summer only)         
• Backpack to store all items

We can provide a healthy lunch for an additional fee of $10. Please request in advance.

Our experienced and dedicated instructors will challenge kids ages 8-14 with exciting adventure-based activities.  Activities include: moderate to difficult hikes, bouldering, mountaineering, river tubing & disc golf. Basic instruction available for slackline & canyoneering.
Offered Monday – Friday from approximately 9:30AM-3:30PM for $95/child/day.

Capture the Flag, an Eco Adventures favorite for kids 8+, will be played on the following Fridays:

• July 5
• July 12
• July 19
• July 26
• August 2

Parents are welcome to join in our afternoon games!
$80/child/day. Pre-register (Thursday or before) and save $10/child.

Special Events

Build-a-float Day: July 3. Ride in parade for free on July 4 if you help build on July 3.

Second Annual Kids Adventure Race: Tuesday, July 30. 10AM-4PM

• Each team, along with their lead counselor, will navigate through Telluride & Mountain Village to a series of check points, where the team must work together to overcome a challenge.
• Registration & starting line located outside the St. Sophia Nature at the top of the Gondola.  
• Pizza and award ceremony to follow
• $80/child if you register before July 26. $95/child July 27-30.

St. Sophia Nature Center

At the St. Sophia Nature Center you'll find information on hiking and biking trails, weather expectations, and local ecosystems to help prepare you for your adventures in the area We are open 7 days a week during the summer 9am - 4pm daily.

Group-based learning from 10AM - noon every Tuesday and Thursday during June, July & August.
$25/child/program.
