At the St. Sophia Nature Center you'll find information on hiking and biking trails, weather expectations, and local ecosystems to help prepare you for your adventures in the area.

Nature Center

The Nature Center's environmental programs are held all summer and feature native wildlife education, children's nature activities and crafts, as well as guided interpretive hikes to learn about Telluride's natural flora, fauna and more. Our expanded retail section features an eclectic assortment of souvenirs and snacks.

Located just a short distance from the top of the gondola, the St. Sophia Nature Center is located atop Coonskin Ridge overlooking the town of Telluride.

The Nature Center is open 7 days a week during the summer.
9am - 4pm daily.

Group-based learning from 10AM to noon every Tuesday and Thursday during June, July & August.
Pricing: $25-$30/child/program.
