 Voted one of the top 45 spas in the United States and the Caribbean by readers of Conde Nast Traveler in 2003, the Golden Door Spa at the Peaks  offers luxurious spa services and amenities amid the glorious alpine atmosphere of Telluride. Following the lead of the original Golden Door in Escondido, California and drawing inspiration from the ancient Honjin Inns of Japan, the Golden Door Spa at the  Peaks incorporates a variety of techniques and ingredients - from as far away as Europe and the Far East, to traditions of the Southern Utes - to take the rejuvenation of mind, body and spirit to an elevation of 9,500 feet.

The Golden Door Spa features 44 treatment rooms, saunas, steam rooms, Jacuzzis, an indoor lap pool connected by a water slide to the lower indoor/outdoor pool, a Cybex weight room, cardiovascular deck, squash and racquetball courts, indoor climbing wall, reading and television lounges and a full-service beauty salon.

Twelve different types of massage, including sports and high altitude massage, reflexology, Ayurvedic body treatments, Shiatsu, Reiki, stone therapy and acupuncture are offered alongside Oxygen therapy in the novel oxygen bar. New treatments use fine alpine herbs, indigenous to the Rocky Mountains, including the Blue Spruce Herbal Soak, Clary Sage, Cornmeal Body Buff and High Altitude Facial. Atmosphere Spa is a favorite of locals and visitors.  Providing a variety of luxurious spa services and offering products specializing in skin and body care. Relax and unwind in our oasis of tranquility.  Conveniently located at the base of the gondola, in the Camels Garden Hotel.

Open seven days a week from 9 a.m. - 7 p.m.  Walk-ins are welcome, however, appointments are highly recommended, especially during peak hours of 3 p.m. until closing (particularly during ski season).  In order to secure your appointment a credit card number is required at the time of booking.
