Superpipe and Park Open Day and Night
Telluride Voted Visitors Choice Award for Best Terrain Park in Rockies

Telluride, CO. (Jan. 15, 2009) – Telluride Ski Resort’s amazing terrain and amenities is about to get a much welcomed addition! Skiers and snowboarders who like to ride jumps, rails and superpipes will now be able to night ride in Telluride. The lighted adventure park will open Jan.16 at 5pm, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and celebration. With the addition of the new park comes big news - from 4 p.m. to 7p.m. every Thursday through Sunday, jibbers and park riders can enjoy the illuminated park well into the evening.

“We are truly excited to now offer our guests a superior terrain park with superpipe,” said Dave Riley, CEO of the resort. “The kids will love riding at night as well, just above Heritage Plaza in Mountain Village – this is a great addition to our resort.”

Formerly known as "Competition Hill”, and with continued snowmaking and a natural snow base, the park is primed for inaugural day. Race Hill Lift (Lift 2) will serve the area at night and the Village Express (Lift 4) can be utilized to access the area during daytime operational hours.

Final construction of other jumps and rails will be completed within the week.  The Hoot Brown Park (advanced) and Ute Park (beginner) are now open. A wonderful venue for recreational racing, the Nastar Course has been relocated to Bumpy Butterfly, located under Village Express (Lift 4), and is open daily.

To ride the new adventure park at night, costs are as follows; $25 per night, $150 for night season pass with current daytime season pass, and a separate pass for night park usage is $200. Tickets and passes can be purchased at the Mountain Village ticket office and are on sale now!
