Telluride, Colorado - (November 12, 2010) - The Telluride Ski Resort will kick off the 2010-11 ski season with Donation Day on November 24, 2010. All proceeds from the $25 lift ticket will benefit the Telluride Ski & Snowboard Club. “The Telluride Ski & Snowboard Club is an integral part of this community, and instrumental in developing young skiers and snowboarders here in the valley,” said Telluride Ski & Golf CEO Dave Riley. “They have also taken a leading role in managing the volunteer efforts for Telluride’s World Cup competition, which is key to the success of the event and its benefits for the destination as a whole. With such dedication to the community effort, we are proud to be able to put on this fundraising day for them, and hope everyone in the region will come out.” Donation Day lift openings include the Village Express (4) and Chondola (1) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., as conditions permit. Free hot chocolate, coffee, and donuts will be served by the Telluride Ski and Snowboard Club at the Gondola station in the Mountain Village all day. “We’re thrilled that TSG has brought back this program to help raise additional funds for the ski and snowboard club,” stated Justin Chandler, the Executive Director of the Telluride Ski & Snowboard Club. “TSG has always been our biggest supporter. We could not operate without their efforts and generosity.” Lift tickets on Donation Day are $25 for all skiers and snowboarders including season pass holders. Children five and under ski free.
