HOW DO I DETERMINE MY SKILL LEVEL FOR ADULT GROUP LESSONS?

Adult Ski Levels

  • First Time: It is my first time skiing – or – it has been more than 10 years.
  • Green: I ski in a wedge/pizza. I am able to turn and stop. I have ridden the magic carpet.
  • Double Green: I can ski all green runs. I ski in wedge/pizza and I am starting to ski parallel/french fries. I can safely load and unload the chairlift.
  • Blue: I am comfortable skiing groomed blue runs and my skis are parallel. I am working on carving and using a pole plant.
  • Double Blue: I can ski all blue runs regardless of snow condition. I have started skiing bumps and groomed black runs.
  • Black: I can ski all black runs. I want to ski steeps, bumps, powder, and glades.

 

Adult Snowboard Levels

  • First Time: It is my first time snowboarding – or – it has been more than 10 years.
  • Green: I can balance on my board and ride on the toe/heel edge. I am able to turn and stop. I have ridden the magic carpet.
  • Double Green: I can ride all green runs. I am making turns from toe to heel and heel to toe. I can safely load and unload the chairlift.
  • Blue: I am comfortable riding groomed blue runs while making turns from toe to heel and heel to toe. I am working on carving and riding switch.
  • Double Blue: I can ride all blue runs regardless of snow conditions. I have started riding bumps, groomed black runs, and the beginner terrain park.
  • Black: I can ride all black runs. I want to ride switch, steeps, bumps, powder, and glades.
