May 20th through June 30th:
The Prospect Basin, including the Prospect Trail, Prospect Loop, Basin Trail, Meridian Trail, and the entire Gold Hill and Palmyra Basin areas are closed to ALL access May 20th through June 30th for the annual Prospect Basin Elk Calving.
Starting May 23rd:
See Forever Trail, Wasatch Connection, and all surrounding areas in the Lift 6, 9, 14 and 15 areas are CLOSED to ALL ACCESS. This closure comes in conjunction with the Lift 9 replacement and associated construction projects.
This closure will be in effect 24hrs a day, 7 days a week and is expected to last the duration of the summer in order to maintain public safety. Please avoid these areas and respect all closures.
Other Closures to Expect:
Other components of the trail network and areas within the Telluride Ski Area will be intermittently closed this summer due to various construction activities. These closures will affect the Telluride Trail, Camels Garden Trail, Short Loop, Prospect Trail, Prospect Loop, Basin Trail, Meridian Trail, and potentially others.
Construction days that incorporate heavy transportation of lift materials and helicopter flight days will initiate wide-spread closures in order to protect the public from any unnecessary risk. Please respect all closures and ski area personnel enforcing road and area closures.
