Car Rental Companies
Using the free Telluride-Mountain Village Gondola to get around Telluride during your stay is easy. A car is not necessary if you plan to stay in the pedestrian-friendly, resort areas of Telluride and Mountain Village. In the event you want to explore the region outside of Telluride here are the rental car companies offering service at any of the three regional airports in Western Colorado.
Parking
Telluride and Mountain Village offer a number of free and paid parking options. Many of the parking options are within walking distance of the free gondola that provides access to both towns or are also serviced by Telluride’s free Galloping Goose bus service. Note: While overnight parking is allowed in some area lots, overnight camping in a vehicle is not permitted.

Heritage Parking Garage 568 Mountain Village Blvd., Telluride, CO | Located at 568 Mountain Village Blvd., off Mountain Village Boulevard, Heritage Parking Garage is located under the Madeline Hotel and Residences, however the entrance is located across from the front door to the hotel (turn west off Mountain Village Boulevard to enter the garage). There are a total of 116 spaces in this garage, most of which are located on the upper level. The hotel operator oversees the other 82 spaces with full valet services. 7’6″ maximum clearance. Winter parking rates enforced when Telluride Ski Resort opens (December 6, 2025-April 5, 2026): • Monday through Thursday: $2.5 per hour for first two hours; $10 per hour for each additional hour ($50 max per 24 hours) • Friday through Sunday: $2.50 per hour for first two hours; $15 per hour for each additional hour ($50 max per 24 hours) • Daily 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. FREE parking Three ways to pay for parking: pay for parking via ParkMobile app, scan QR code on site or text "PARK" to 77223. | 3. Meadows Run Parking 308 Adams Ranch Road, Telluride, CO | Located at the end of Adams Ranch Road in the Meadows neighborhood (308 Adams Ranch Road), this lot has a total of 110 spaces. During the winter months, the Town conducts routine snow removal: every Monday, between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., the north side of the lot is closed; and every Thursday, between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., the south side of the lot is closed, unless signs denote the contrary. After April 1 of each year, this snow removal policy is no longer in effect. Winter parking rates enforced when Telluride Ski Resort opens (December 6, 2025-April 5, 2026): • Monday through Thursday (6:30 a.m.- 8 p.m.): $10 per day • Friday through Sunday (6:30 a.m.-8 p.m.): $15 per day • Overnight parking (8 p.m.-6:30 a.m.): for Resident Permits, Meadows Resident Permits or Big Billie's Lot M Permits • No RVs, commercial vehicles and trailers Pay upon entry: use credit or debit card only (no cash) through Parkmobile app (Zone 3950).
