Advanced Reservations Required and/or Strongly Advised for all Winter Activities

Telluride as a destination offers an abundant of winter activities beyond skiing and snowboarding on the resort. From guided snowshoe tours, nordic skiing, backcountry snowmobile tours and heliskiing. For those seeking a unique winter adventure, you may discover that in Telluride.

Guided Snowshoeing

All private snowshoe tours must be booked at least 72 hours in advance.

Advance reservation for group tours are required, however walk ins will be accepted only if a group tour has already been booked by another guest. We ask that any walk-in guests be adequately prepared and dressed for the tour upon arrival.

Bring the following clothes to hike in the snow (similar to how you dress to go ski!) :
– Winter Coat
– Snow Pants
– Gloves
– Winter Hat or Coat Hood
– Snow boots or sturdy, ankle high hiking boots (Ideally with some waterproofing)
– Sunglasses or Goggles
– Lift ticket *IF* previously purchased (foot traffic access will be loaded onto it)

Guided Snowshoeing

Imagine being led through Telluride’s winter wonderland by an expert naturalist. Our legendary guide staff will detail the local environments’ flora, fauna and provide exclusive knowledge about the captivating natural world. Tours are designed to accommodate all ability levels. Please meet your guide at the bottom of the gondola stairs in Mountain Village across from Chair 4 at 9:45 a.m. They will be wearing a green jacket near our snowshoe rack and should be hard to miss!

Group Tours depart from the meeting area at 10am sharp, and return at approximately 1:30pm. The minimum age for the group tours is 16 years old, however private tours can accommodate family’s of all ages!

Mountain Village, Telluride and the surrounding area are excellent locations to explore on cross country skis. The resort offers intermediate to advanced level trails at the top of Sunshine Express Lift (#10). Cross-
country trail options in Mountain Village range from beginner to advanced.

The Telluride Nordic Center is located in Town Park and operates as a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education and enhancement of Nordic Skiing for all ages and abilities.
